Stories of our community: collaborative collage workshop

For the duration of the solo exhibition “Windy City Tells”, a nonprofit organization known as The Night Ministry was highlighted in an effort to raise donation money. The Night Ministry is dedicated to providing human connection, housing support, and healthcare to those who are unhoused or experiencing poverty. In addition to highlighting the organization during the exhibition, Lo Marie facilitated a workshop that allowed community members to work together on a collage piece. The collages were then scanned and finalized digitally by Lo, resulting in unique 9×12 prints. These prints focused on settings where loved ones and neighbors often gather to connect with one another. 100% of the profits made from the workshop print sales were donated to The Night Ministry.
